Moments, returned.
Aureal is built for people who look closely.
Across fields, forests, shorelines, and forgotten places, objects wait — shaped by time, touched by human hands, or formed long before we arrived. When they surface again, they carry more than material value. They carry context, continuity, and story.
Aureal exists to honor that moment. Not as hype. Not as spectacle. As documentation — grounded, respectful, and built for the long timeline behind every find.
Aureal began with a simple frustration: why did “detecting apps” either feel like ad platforms, data brokers, or shallow logbooks? The field deserved something better — a tool that respects the hobby, the land, and the people behind the objects we recover.
So we built Aureal as a privacy-first documentation system. The goal isn’t to turn discovery into a feed or a scoreboard. It’s to help you capture the meaning of what you found — with care, with context, and without oversharing.
As Aureal expands beyond metal detecting into other “finder” hobbies (like bottle digging, rock hounding, and fossils), the mission stays the same: return moments across time — human and geological — to present awareness and stewardship.
Your locations and history are yours. We don’t sell user data — ever. Trust is the product.
Permission and boundaries matter. We build tools that encourage responsible access and sustainable relationships.
Some finds carry legal or cultural responsibilities. We encourage documentation and appropriate reporting guidance.
Stewardship includes cleanup. We want the hobby to be a net-positive presence in the places we explore.
No dark patterns. No surveillance. No manipulative upsells. Just craftsmanship and clarity.
The hobby comes first. Feedback drives the roadmap, and we build with real field needs in mind.
Au is the chemical symbol for gold — a timeless symbol of value. But for us, it also represents something broader: the feeling that a place can still hold meaning, and that discovery can be done with care.
Aureal is about what returns when you look closely — the story, the context, and the moment something long-hidden becomes visible again.
