Yes! Aureal's Free tier includes unlimited hunts with GPS tracking, find logging, coverage heatmaps, basic stats, and care tips. Pro features like cloud backup, Apple Watch, historic overlays, AI insights, and RFN submissions are available for $4.99/month or $49.99/year.
Aureal is designed to work offline. Download maps for your hunting areas ahead of time, and all hunt tracking, find logging, and overlays work without cell signal. Your data syncs automatically when you're back online.
Aureal is available for iPhone (iOS 16+). The Apple Watch companion app requires watchOS 9 or later and is included with the Pro plan. Android support is on the roadmap.
Import any image (old plat maps, historic aerials, survey documents) and align it with modern maps using our pan-zoom-confirm anchoring system. Toggle between map styles and overlays to compare past and present during active hunts to guide your search.
PermissionLink is our digital permission system that makes getting landowner approval simple. Send a request, share a QR code, and landowners can approve with conditions (time windows, no-go zones) all digitally. No awkward conversations, no paperwork, and all data stays private and encrypted.
When you make a find, tap to log it. Add photos, record depth, tag the material type (iron, brass, steel, etc.) and category (coin, relic, jewelry, trash, etc.), and the GPS coordinates are saved automatically. Add notes, and your entire find history becomes searchable and organized forever.
The Apple Watch companion lets you control hunts without pulling out your phone. Start, pause, and end sessions, see live stats (time, distance, find count), and quickly log finds from your wrist. It's perfect for keeping your phone protected while you dig. Available with the Pro plan.
Upgrading is easy! Go to Settings > Subscription in the app and choose your new plan. Your upgrade takes effect immediately, and you'll be credited for any unused time on your current plan.
You can cancel anytime through the App Store. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device and cancel Aureal. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
Your data is never deleted. If you downgrade, you can still view all your existing hunts, finds, and overlays. You just won't be able to add new items beyond your plan's limits until you upgrade again.
Aureal is currently available on iPhone. With a Pro subscription, your hunts and finds sync to the cloud, so your data is backed up and accessible if you switch devices.
