By using Aureal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

"Aureal," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Aureal Labs LLC, located in Alachua County, Florida, USA.

1. Eligibility & Account

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your region).
• Users under 18 require parental consent.
• You are responsible for your device security and all account activity.
• You must provide accurate information and comply with all applicable laws.

2. License & Ownership

Aureal Labs grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial use only.

All intellectual property remains the sole property of Aureal Labs LLC, including:

• Software & algorithms
• Maps & overlays
• Logos & features

You may not copy, sell, or exploit the Service commercially without written permission.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Trespass or use Aureal for illegal activity
• Upload infringing, unlawful, or harmful content
• Reverse engineer or tamper with the Service
• Misuse data or violate others' privacy
• Circumvent access or subscription restrictions
• Violate any federal, state, or local law

You are solely responsible for complying with property, cultural resource, environmental, and historical protection laws.

4. User-Generated Content

"User Content" includes photos, overlays, finds, coordinates, notes, and any uploaded material.

You retain ownership. By uploading, you grant Aureal Labs a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate the Service.

You represent that:

• You own or have permission to upload all content
• Your content doesn't infringe any third-party rights

5. Data, Maps & Accuracy

Maps, overlays, boundaries, and GPS data are informational only. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated.

Aureal does NOT provide:

• Professional surveying
• Legal property boundary determination
• Archaeological certification
• Safety assessments

Always verify boundaries and permissions independently.

6. Assumption of Risk & Safety

Metal detecting and outdoor exploration involve inherent risks.

Risks include but are not limited to:

• Uneven ground, holes, obstructions
• Slips, falls, tripping hazards
• Sharp, rusty, or buried objects
• Weather exposure & wildlife
• Remote area dangers
• GPS inaccuracy

By using Aureal, you voluntarily assume all such risks.

Aureal Labs is not responsible for injury, death, or property damage related to your use of the Service.

7. Land Access & Permissions

You are solely responsible for:

• Obtaining lawful permission before entering any land
• Following all laws regarding protected lands and private properties
• Complying with local, state, national, and tribal laws

Aureal does NOT verify landowner identities, parcel boundaries, or permission validity.

All land access decisions are entirely your responsibility.

8. PermissionLink™ Disclaimer

PermissionLink™ facilitates communication between detectorists and landowners.

Aureal Labs LLC:

• Is NOT a party to agreements between users and landowners
• Does not guarantee accuracy, safety, or legality of permissions
• Does not validate property boundaries or ownership
• Is not liable for disputes or misunderstandings

All permission agreements occur solely between the involved parties.

9. Responsible Finder Network (RFN)

RFN provides informational, AI-assisted suggestions regarding potential historical significance and reporting obligations.

RFN does NOT constitute legal advice, archaeological assessment, or professional recommendations.

You remain solely responsible for:

• Complying with all reporting rules
• Accurately identifying reportable items
• Following cultural heritage laws

Aureal Labs is not liable for errors in AI-generated information or legal consequences from your finds.

10. Subscriptions & Payments

• Purchases are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play
• Aureal Labs does not store payment information
• Renewals, refunds, and cancellations follow platform policies
• Some features are restricted to the paid Pro tier

11. Updates & Beta Features

Aureal may update, modify, or remove features at any time without notice.

Some features may be released in Beta and could behave unpredictably, including AI tools, overlays, GPS features, and PermissionLink components.

Continued use signifies acceptance of changes.

12. Privacy

We collect minimal device and performance data to improve app quality. No personal data is sold or shared with third parties.

13. Liability & Disclaimers

Aureal is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.

We disclaim warranties of:

• Accuracy or safety
• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Map or AI correctness

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aureal Labs is NOT liable for injuries, losses, property damage, legal penalties, or any consequential damages.

Your sole remedy is to discontinue using the Service.

14. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.

All claims must be brought exclusively in the courts of Alachua County, Florida.

You agree to this venue and jurisdiction.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for:

• Violations of these Terms
• Illegal activity
• Abuse of the platform
• Fraud or subscription violations

You may discontinue use at any time.
